Alright, alright. Enough already! It takes a big man to say what he has got to say and even a bigger one to back up what he actually said, and then a giant of a man to admit when he's wrong, even though he is never wrong...and in this case, you smart-asses, only half wrong!
I'm just trying to make myself feel better about...errr....you know, maybe being a bit judgemental...but not wrong mind you. C'MON PEOPLE!! OK OK already! I WATCH SONS OF ANARCHY! Yah feel better now!?
A couple of months ago I posted on this show based on the previews and a few things that I read. You can gander again if you like here. "Sons Of Anarchy - Another Nail In Your Coffin?"
The first episode was what I thought it would be...trash, it sucked! I was satisfied that I was correct about this one and vowed never to allow my peeps to be defiled by the sights and sound of SOA or Jax's white tennys.
However..., it's sorta like knowing there is going to be a train wreck. You just gotta watch it go down since there is nothing you can do to stop it. The allure of the outlaw biker and motorcycles got the best of me so I figured I would give one more try, which led to another try....and another...and...well, you know the rest.
I have to admit, it got better after the first taste. I laugh my ass off at some of the jokes and hazing in this show. It's my kind of humor and I wonder if most "normal" people who watch it understand some of it. I roared at the sight of a corpse with a stick of dynamite jammed in it's ass. Is that normal?
I feel I was correct about most of what I predicted in my crystal ball. (I was wrong about the HD 4th quarter earnings though, but give it some time.) The rest of the repercussions have manifested itself in one way or another as I suspected. Chicks suddenly want to ask me "what's wrong; what has made you so angry?" I have over heard snickers about the "Sons Of Anarchy wanna be" twice. (The wild hogs comments were way worse in my opinion though.) Oh yeah!, it kills me when someone asks; "Does all that stuff really happen?" pffftttt, how the hell do I know! I just wanna ride my bike.
My favorite one was a couple of days ago. A guy walks up to me and says, "Which club bro. Who is your leader?"
I just laughed and said, "I'm not a patch-holder of a M/C".
"Oh, so your an independent then" he replied.
"Independent what?" I laughed. "Does that make me a one-man M/C?, you're crack'in me up. I gotta get back to work."
No one has ever come up to me and asked that. Ever.
Oh well...I have decided to stop taking everything so seriously. It is what it is. I should look at it as simply entertainment, after all, that's all that it is...errr...right? Sons Of Anarchy is waaaaaaay far fetched but when I massage my eyebrows and learn to relax them a bit...I get a kick watching it. I'll allow this one guilty pleasure and I am getting some good laughs out of it. Anything that makes me laugh nowadays is welcomed. I guess I'll keep everything in perspective and allow myself to be entertained by SOA.
I'm still not happy about the idea that some idiots are going to watch this and forget that it's not a documentary, but I'll get over it I guess as long as they stay away from me.
I was right...and I was wrong. How about we call the score even and go crash on my couch to watch some SOA. I don't think I have had this much fun since "A Clockwork Orange".
Oh yeah, you need to check out "Fat Bob's Blog" regarding SOA. This dude blogs about the show and I guess they let him write whatever he wants. I have a bit more respect for FX suddenly.

I watched an episode of SOA the other night. I did laugh out loud a couple times but I wouldn't say it made me a fan. I read your original post on the show and I think I laughed more at that. You should probably try to get a writing job on the show man!
on the M/C question:
I've gotten that remark too a long time ago... it was from someone who was already in a club and they get REALLY excited about it. I'm sure that a club would be fun as hell and great to meet fellow bikers, but when you go to the club websites, it's usually filled with BBQ of the month event pics. Might be great for some but I just like riding and meeting people on my own.
Great post!
I would like it so much more if they'd just lose the white tennys and the flannel shirts!
No matter what, there are always going to be dumbasses who can't get it through their heads that a TV show is entertainment. Even so-called "reality" TV isn't always as real as they sell it to be. Of course, when you consider that the US Coast Guard was flooded with calls and telegrams to "rescue those poor people stuck on that island near Hawaii," after "Gilligan's Island" premiered back in the mid '60s, I guess all bets are off.
I haven't had anyone say anything stupid to me about either Wild Hogs or SOA to date. I guess I should be glad for that. On the other hand, I've never really given a shit what people say anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. For now, I'll just enjoy it. I have to admit, Clay's old lady gives me a serious MILF chubby...
What!, No way. It's not real!. Shoot, I'm not watching i anymore! LOL!
Glad you like it, and can enjoy the entertainment with the rest of us.
YAY! Dave has joined B.B. and is watching SOA! I didn't like it at first either Dave. I was like...FAKE! But then I told myself...Steph...this is a TV Show.
I've already seen a couple SOA do rags and that made me laugh. Don't think I'll be jumping on that bandwagon.
Welcome to the Dark Side!
This show grows on you. If you let yourself get into the characters, it becomes more entertaining. I'm glad I caught up on the episodes.
Like IHG says...Welcome to the Dark Side!
BTW... whoever posted a comment about Hulu.com, THANKS. Cool website. Ya'll should check it out. I was able to watch the first four episodes and that was pretty cool.
I was just able to catch SOA the other night for the first time. It's ok...but those flannel shirts and WHITE sneakers MUST GO! WTF?
Yeah, it's not bad, but I'm not a die-hard fan.
Lady R.,
It was Strungout who said...
The episodes can can be found on Hulu.com...but with a 8 day lag.

Still haven't watched it. But any show that has a stick of dynamite shoved in an ass, I may have to tune in... ahh. no never mind, I'll stick with Forensic Files.
speaking of asses, yours called, and wants your head to move out by the weekend.
lol, funny bro. Yes, I am thinking about it. I have much unfinished business that I am resolved to take care of. I think you have it backwards though. My head is there, but my ass is still here.
LOL!! As long as your ass is somewhere, you'll be ok.
